Gas/Leak Checks
Sometimes in an older system a leak can occur. This is especially true when work has been done to a home, or the service has been disrupted. It is required by law to perform a leak test whenever a line is disturbed, or a system is allowed to drop below operating pressure. This can occur when a tank is “run dry”.
- A gas check is performed during the final hook up to a system, or when service is changed from one carrier to another. This includes the write up of all appliances to be run off of the system, the BTU load, and model/serial numbers off of each appliance. Our gas checks are honored by the propane companies that we have done work for.
- A leak test is when a special meter is used to detect minute leaks in the entire system, including the internal parts of any appliance. Our leak checks are honored by the propane companies that we have done work for.
